About Portsmouth International Port

Portsmouth International Port offers the perfect combination of high quality facilities, unrivalled location and fantastic attractions for visiting cruise passengers.

“Britain’s best connected port” has excellent road and rail links to London and the rest of the UK. The Port is just off the motorway network, and the construction of England’s longest land tunnel at Hindhead now dramatically speeds up journeys to and from the capital.

Portsmouth is also emerging as a popular port of call.  Passengers enjoy visiting the great waterfront city, home to many impressive historical attractions. Cruise ships pass Nelson’s HMS Victory on the way into Port and Henry VIII’s Mary Rose and its collection of Tudor artefacts is also within easy reach at the nearby Historic Dockyard. With impressive shopping, dining and entertainment facilities at Gunwharf Quays; VIP viewing packages at the striking Emirates Spinnaker Tower; and a wide range of museums, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Tours to nearby Stonehenge, with its newly opened visitors centre, are also a popular choice.

Portsmouth International Port has invested heavily in new facilities, including its stunning glass and steel passenger terminal. The Port has found a niche market specialising in small to medium sized cruises, tailoring its services to the different needs of each operator. The recent extension to Berth 2 allows ships of up to 240 metres in length to berth safely. Improvements to the turning circle are also now in place make each visit easier and hassle free.
